Obama to visit Thailand and Myanmar in the first foreign trip after winning a second term

Visiting U.S. President Barack Obama, Thailand, Myanmar and Cambodia during the period from 17 to Nov. 20, in his first foreign trip outside the United States after winning a second term.

A spokesman for the White House in a press release on Thursday, Obama will travel to Bangkok on November 17, where he will meet with Prime Minister ينجلوك Shinawatra to mark 180 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and reaffirm the strength of their alliance.

In Rangoon Obama will meet with his counterpart Thein Sein and opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi, will also speak with civil society to promote the democratization process in the country now.

In Phnom Penh, Obama will attend the conference on "East Asia Summit", and meet with leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The statement pointed out that Obama would discuss in the region a wide range of issues .. Including economic prosperity and ways to create jobs through increased trade and partnerships, energy and security cooperation, human rights, and the common values​​, as well as a number of other issues of mutual interest on the regional and global levels.
