Warned the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad on Thursday, the employees going to restaurants and markets in the Pakistani capital for several days before and after the anniversary of the assassination of Osama bin Laden, the former leader of al Qaeda.
The embassy said in a warning posted on its website that "due to security concerns, the U.S. Embassy prohibits its employees frequenting the restaurants and markets in Islamabad during the period from 27 April to the fifth of May".
And recommended that U.S. nationals Embassy in Islamabad to take similar preventive measures during the same period, diplomatic sources said that this warning was issued based on information about a specific threat, but the deputy interior minister and Pakistan Safdar Araes privilege denied knowing of this threat.
The first anniversary of the death of former al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in a secret raid carried out by U.S. forces in the city of Abbottabad / northern Pakistan / resolved in the second of May next and the U.S. embassy fears that militants may celebrate this anniversary to launch an attack.
