Washington: Our position on the release of Israeli spy has not changed

Denied the White House spokesman Jay Carney knew the White House to receive a formal request of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the release of Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard, and stressed that Washington's position has not changed on the refusal to release him.

This came in statements to Carney, on board the presidential plane carrying U.S. President Barack Obama to Florida today.

With regard to Syria and the withdrawal of Syrian forces from the cities and towns, the Syrian and according to plan, Kofi Annan's envoy to the United Nations and the Arab League, said Carney, "The leaders of the Assad regime say a lot of things and give a lot of promises, and then prove that the majority of it turns into a hollow words without meaning.

He added: "The international community governs the actions of the Assad regime, we have not seen any evidence yet of any withdrawal, and I have seen plenty of evidence of more brutality and aggression against innocent civilians, and Carney noted that Washington is waiting to assess Annan.
