U.S. National Security Adviser meet with Putin in Russia

Met with U.S. National Security Adviser Tom Donilon Russian President-elect Vladimir Putin, during a visit to Moscow, according to the White House announced, on Friday, two weeks before the Group of Eight meeting in the United States.

A statement of the American Presidency, that Donilon discussed during this visit he met with officials, led by Putin, "the next stages in the relations between the United States and Russia, including cooperation in economic and security files."

The White House described the talks as "constructive," but gave no further details.

And takes over the reins next Monday Putin presidency in Russia, a position he occupied from 2000 to 2008.

Did not confirm Putin after his participation in the Group of Eight summit to be held at Camp David Maryland (Eastern United States) on 18 and 19 May, will not participate in the NATO summit to be held on the sidelines of this Summit in Chicago (Illinois, north).
