According to the French Defense Ministry on Friday evening, the 150 French military sent reinforcements to Bangui, the capital of the Central African base in the Gabonese capital of Libreville and arrived to the scene on Friday morning, in order to confirm the information published earlier in the Radio France International.
The source pointed out that this measure "a precautionary measure" and aims to "protect French nationals and Europeans."
He added that a brigade of infantry and paratroopers up to 150 men came as reinforcements for the 250 French soldiers who are on base Mpoko airport in Bangui.
