IRNA news agency quoted the official North Fleet Commander Admiral Iranian Afshin Rezaei Haddad as saying on Saturday that the ships began the journey to the Atlantic Ocean across the water near South Africa.
Iranian officials said last month that the fleet consisted of a destroyer helicopter carrier and logistics will be on a mission for a period of three months, the Islamic Republic considered this step as a response to the deployment of U.S. Navy ships near its coasts.
Haddad explained that the fleet approaching the border from the U.S. Navy for the first time, and the U.S. Navy fleet stationed in Bahrain fifth.
