Iranian state television said that the country suspended oil exports to Germany, a day after Tehran to stop its exports of crude oil to Spain and Greece.

According to the station in a report on Wednesday that Iran has stopped selling crude oil to Germany as part of the proactive steps to impose retaliatory EU ban on the purchase of Iranian oil, which will enter into force in July.

Iran already has halted oil exports to Britain and France, and said it may cut oil exports to Italy. The West suspects Tehran of seeking to acquire nuclear weapons, something denied by Iran.
