U.S. official: are committed to helping Nigeria to end the group "Boko Haram"

Ambassador of the United States in Abuja Terrence McCauley on his country's commitment to help Nigeria to eliminate the risk group "Boko Haram", which claimed responsibility for a number of bloody attacks in the country this year and last year.


The ambassador said the U.S. - in a press statement last night - "We are committed to partnership with Nigeria with the Nigerian government, and we have a training program with the Nigerian police, and the results of this began to emerge from the program during the recent successes.


The most recent arrest of several members of the group Boko Haram, and the Nigerian government to rely on key partners such as the United States. And on the fight against corruption, the U.S. diplomat said, "that his country also has a program and the Anti-corruption training for staff who are working, and we are continuing to help the Nigerian government to eradicate this scourge."


On the other hand, said McCauley said his country is working to solve the problem of delay in issuance of visas to the United States through the building of another consulate in the city of Lagos, adding that the building of the consulate may take some time, but the embassy is working its best not to delay the visa.


The ambassador emphasized the importance of resolving this problem, he said, "There are thousands of Nigerian students studying in the United States, and they need to issue such visas quickly."
