Jay Carney accuses Syria of not respecting the Annan plan

White House accused the Syrian government of not respecting the peace plan backed by the United Nations, and condemned the attack on the University of Aleppo that killed four students.

Said White House spokesman Jay Carney "We are still betting on the success of the Annan plan and strive to support them by all means" in reference to the peace plan set by the UN envoy and the Arab League Kofi Annan to end the violence in Syria, but he acknowledged the failure of the plan and that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad did not "make any effort to take any action" that covered.

Carney stressed, "If the Syrian regime continued to express sclerosis For the international community to recognize his failure and research in action against the Assad regime's threats to peace and stability."

It also strongly condemned the White House on the lips of the Karni attack on the University of Aleppo, where four students were killed after the army in pursuit after a peaceful demonstration on the campus of the University, on the transfer of rights activists.
