South Korea set up two new nuclear reactors to generate electricity

The South Korean government announced on Friday that Seoul began to build two new nuclear reactors, using home-made components in all critical systems equipment.

The Ministry of Knowledge Economy, South Korea, "It will be built at a plant Oljugin reactors to generate electricity in North Gyeongsang province based on the design of advanced power reactor (J.. B. R), which can generate 1400 megawatts of electricity."

A statement of the ministry that the reactors represent a turning point for South Korean trade program of nuclear energy; because it will not be used any foreign-made parts in its places of interest.

The government has allocated $ 7 trillion won (18.6 billion dollars) for the construction and power units in the first and second Oljugin station, which lies 330 kilometers southeast of Seoul.

It is expected to be completed building the first unit in the new Oljugin in April 2017, will be built while the second unit from the end of February 2018.

It is noteworthy that South Korea has currently has 21 commercial reactors, and has plans to build 12 new reactors by the year 2022, and in an effort to reduce the country's dependence on crude oil and natural gas and coal.
