Police dispersed a demonstration involving thousands of people in Khartoum

Sudanese police used tear gas to disperse thousands of people who were demonstrating in Khartoum, to demand the dropping of President Omar al-Bashir, in the fourteenth day of the protest movement is not unprecedented, as reported by eyewitnesses.


Police said that thousands of people took part in the demonstration, which fell during which injured.


The same source said that the demonstrators who gathered near a mosque (used as the headquarters of the opposition Umma Party) and carried a Sudanese flags and banners reading "people wanted to overthrow the regime" is the slogan used by protesters in many countries of the Arab spring.


After launching tear gas and arresting an unknown number of protesters, demonstrators burned tires and throwing stones at police officers before they disperse, according to a witness.


There were similar incidents between police and demonstrators in the neighborhood of Khartoum in the sea, where police used tear gas also added the same source.
