The Interior Ministry said in Ukraine, said that one of the helicopters crashed into the center of the country, killing five people on board.
The ministry spokesman said Sergei Burelakov, the helicopter, one of the model (Mi - 8) hit the ground shortly after taking off from the airport in the city of Alexandria, in the Kirovograd region, at a distance of 320 kilometers to the south east of the capital Kiev.
Investigators working to determine the cause of the crash on Tuesday night, according Burelakov.
The death toll included, crew of three people and two employees of the ground services.
Noteworthy that the helicopter accidents are frequent in the former Soviet republics, due to poor maintenance, and lack of respect for safety rules, and the mentality that focuses on reducing costs by any means, even at the expense of safety.
